We truly appreciated all who participated in and supported VAI in organizing these sold-out conferences!  Our conferences were the first of it’s kind.  They provided a platform for vegans of color to share their activism in animal rights, food justice and environmental activism.  In 2014, many in our vegans of color community, in Southern California, expressed a need for animal rights-focused spaces where the perspectives, experiences and community of vegans of color are the focus.  Our conferences were a call to action, and attracted the most diverse group of people ever to attend a conference that focused on animal rights and food justice.  Ticket-holders comprised of approx. 74% people of color from diverse ancestral backgrounds.  If you’d like to learn more about our past conferences, you can do so here.   Or visit our Facebook page.
